Can confirm from my side. Tried H shifter this evening with 1800 at Barcellona and I'm now 1.1 sec faster (with a big mistake on the last corner).

At the beginning a little bit puzzling, but I needed only 4/5 laps to find again quite a good driving feeling.

True is that I was already using the sequential gear stick, so already used to have only one hand on the wheel. This has surely helped in finding almost immediately comfortable with the new driving style.

Thank you for having convinced me to try again the H shifter! Smile

23 Sept 2010: Barcelona - Page 2 Icon_smile -lol, funny..- as I don't want to put my hands off from the wheel, I tried the following: I assigned the buttons that are used in the H-shifter peripherie to the four buttons on my G25 wheel (editing the shifter.ini), so I can switch to
the gears directly -like with the H-shifter- by holding the particular button on my wheel (-unforunatley the G25 has only 4 buttons, so I put the 5th gear to the usual H-shifter-). I'm 1+ sec. faster than with the sequential shifting before, but I don't know yet if I'll use this new shifting-method in a race, because it's a bit tricky when you have to hold down (push) the gear-button all the time to keep the temporaly gear shifted... and shifting down in general pressing always the right buttons in the right moment is the most tricky thing then, etc. .. .
But when you practice this a bit it's very much possible of course. (-Also gladly shifting down is -beside the timing- quite easy / functional though, because you don't have to release the higher gear-(button) at first before you are able to switch to a lower one. That fact is a good thing Kunos were aware of when designing the game).

Yes, but at the end, from my point of view, is not only a matter of being faster. It depends in what you look for when simulating on a PC.
I really like to drive this car almost like the real thing. It's more immersive. Assuming to have a wheel, I couldn't think to drive without or with tricky solutions only to be faster. But naturally, this is my opinion.

I don't know if it depends from my set or from other (track conversion ?) but differently from other track in Barcellona sometime al lost my rear in really strange way !
It happens in random way and when happen it's impossible for me correct the car and so i go out without chance !
Someone has the same impression in Barcellona ?
Before the first split is one of that strange point where that happens !

Didn't noticed particular problems with Barcellona. When I lost the rear, mainly approaching the two final fast corners (really a nightmare for me!) it's always my fault and moreover many time I'm able to recover it.
But I'm quite slower than you, is it possible that I never reached the limit where the problem appear?????

Well, it happens what i'm going to the limit, of course. But usually in that condition i can control my car and here in barcellona when it happens, in 2 points of the track, for me it's impossible control the rear. Dammit!

I had this problem with my first setup, but now it's way better, thanks to our team setup master. ::hail::

Just as Marco, I'm not pushing as much as you do, but I think can be cured having a more stable setup.

Can you indicate on a map where is this happening? Make a screenshot/video also, if you can. We can control if the track also, just in case.

I can bearly see the problem here form you video, Michele, I expected something more sensational. At least this was in my case. The rear tyre was holding until a point and then loosing grip in a fraction of time. But, as I said, with a different setup that problem was fixed.

By the way, Michele, when you post a video, don't put the link only, but put those tags:

23 Sept 2010: Barcelona - Page 2 29413 if you tell that's losting the rear.... I have to learn again from the beginning... I'm at least 3 second slower than you and my driving style in respect of your seems like "Odeon tutto quanto fa spettacolo!". 23 Sept 2010: Barcelona - Page 2 Icon_biggrin

Perhaps I found the reason for which I'm still so slow!

Ehhheeh, yes Michele, I could imagine, mine was only a joke! 23 Sept 2010: Barcelona - Page 2 Icon_biggrin

Nevertheless for sure I have to learn a more consistent and polite style of driving. I'm slow, but I'm still in the phase that after almost every corner my mind automatically send the message: "Damn, also this time I haven't lost the car!"
So a lot to lear from guys like you.

Race 1: good race, 2nd place for me.
Race 2: bad race, first lap after 1st split i don't know what happen but i think a contact with Maligambi and my wheel was 30° on left and race was finished there.
Grats to Moretto for the win in race 1.
