I really like those 'fluend' tracks like the Barcelona circuit -as a whole- (maybe followed by the Nürburgring which is also mostly a 'fluend' track).
It was already my favourite in times of GP4. Very Happy Maybe I'll 'make a Webber' and do a win on this track quite easily -lol- Laughing (*joking*) Wink

Webber is btw. of the same zodiac sign at least as I am, his birthday is only a few days before mine (but other year of course..), ...so maybe I've quite sort of similar abilities
and preferences as he does have Wink.

23 Sept 2010: Barcelona Icon_eek Maybe I'll not win since I saw this laptime Wink. My best laps are around 1:54... I thought this is quite fast but I'm still missing 4 sec. to say this 23 Sept 2010: Barcelona Icon_lol. Are your laps driven with keyboard/mouse btw., because the wheel-turning is switched off. in the video etc. ?

no, Marco, Michele uses the G27 if I'm not mistaken. The wheel is not shown because for a lot of people, me included, it's a bit distracting. We want to see just one wheel in front of us, not 2. drive Anyway, just a personal preference

    I'm using a G27 with H shifter.
Wheel is turned off because when i drive in my seat i've ALLREADY my real wheel (the G27 wheel) in front of me so ... for me see TWO WHEELS is a big distraction.

I think I couldn't drive well without the 'real' wheel of the car in NKPro displayed, because I've to know how the car in the game is turning in etc.when I take action from my outside wheel-input..., -but
I never tried to drive without, so Iam not sure exactly. ..Doesn't matter, its anyway just about personal preferences as Andrea mentioned.

btw.: Is shifting (gear change in the game) faster when using the H-shifter for the f1800 car ?, Iam asking because someone else some mentioned such a thing.. .

Using H Shift can give an advantage from 0.5 to 1.5 sec depending from the track.

The car wheel do exactly what my G27 do Wink

Michele, do you use H shift?
I was using, but then started to use the sequential stick (even if at that point it should be better to use the whheel levers) because convinced I should be faster. I know that with an H shifter you can select the gears directly, without having to pass all, but my "error rate" in changing gears was very high!!! Sad((
Probably it's only a matter of become used.... Smile
I have to try to use H shifter again, even if the one of my G25 is almost broken.
I have to repair and assemble again the Frex I buyed used some time ago.

Using H Shifter i don't use the cloucth and for me gear change is more fast in H shifter mode, of course.
Clear, drive is more difficult because often u have only 1 hand in the wheel and not 2 and so control the car is more difficult (especially this kind of car).

I always looked at the H-Shifter with fear in the past. Whenever I tried it before I had serious problems to get the synchronization on my movement right.
Then, just for fun, I tried it with the F1800, and surprisingly I found it very natural and immersive.

At the moment I'm always using it, and after a bit of training I can be as fast as with the paddle or even more. For sure my racing experience is improved, because it's much more realistic and addicting.

It can eventually give you some advantage, since you can shift without releasing the throttle if you want, but, you need to master this movement first.
So you can eventually gain 0.5 sec per lap (so much???) as Michele said because of this, but maybe losing a lot more if you are not used to it.

I personally advice everyone to try to use the H-Shifter just because it's much more fun.
In our team we all tried it, just for fun, and now we can't drive without it! drive

Unfortunately I haven't a racing-seat where all the peripherie (wheel and shifter console) is in its right position to handle them well... (just have couch + couchtable so far Wink )
and having only one hand at the wheel is kind of difficult too (personally I don't want to drive a formula car in such way).
    - Some kind of "unfair" maybe.., because using the H-shifter is probably a lot faster sometimes: as someone mentioned due the montreal-tests he personally was 2 sec. ! per lap faster when using H-shifter :-\.

hmm, I thought this was mainly only possible (getting faster with mouse + key) at stop-and-go tracks like monza (or even montreal) but not on most of the other ones ?

In Monza u've to go out fast in 3 point, with keyboard u've traction control so u can go out more fast.

Take Laguna Seca for example: Moretto (wheel) take more then 1 second from Gek (mouse+keyb).
