    02 Sept 2010: Montreal

Post by Andrea Lojelo on Sun Aug 29, 2010 10:05 am

Few more days to the start of the Formula 1800 season. First race: Montreal

    Here is the schedule:

    21:15 Briefing in nkpro chat

Groups arranged based on the entry list Race1
    Qualification for race1: 20 minutes
    Warmup: 3 minutes
    Race 1: 8 laps
    Point system: RSRpoints_A

join nkpro Chat after the race
Groups arranged based on the entry list Race2
    Qualification for race2: 15 minutes
    Warmup: 3 minutes
    Race 2: 12 laps
    Point system: RSRpoints_A

Qualification and races will be in FULL MODE.
Remember that you can't load any setup in FULL MODE. If you need to load a setup, do it before the race.
Remember that in full mode, if you will break your car you have to wait for the reparation time. It's not allowed go disconnect and reconnect to the server to repair your car.
Remember that pressing GO TO PIT or GO TO BOX in full mode will result in having a reparation time. Always drive back to box during qualifying if you want to change your tires, for example.
In case your car is damaged heavily press GO TO BOX for reparation. Drive to box only in case this will not be a risk for anyone.
bug: if you press add fuel before the reparation is finished, you reparation time could be set to 99999 min.solution in this case just press - fuel and your timer will be set again to the correct value.

Stay in pit session: once you join the server you will be placed in the "Stay in pit" session. This session is for allowing everyone joining the session and to solve problems. Drivers with high ping should try to reconnect. If the problem will not be solved they can't participate to the race. Please remember to use only wired connection (no WiFi or HSDPA key allowed because those connections generate lag).

Warmup: we will set the Race session with a waiting time before start of 3 minutes. This will allow everyone to warm up their tires and brakes.
Everyone is allowed to go out from the grid/box. at 30 seconds from the start you will be placed automatically on the grid.
during the warmup the full mode is off, so if you eventually break your car, you can repair it without waiting simply pressing go to box.

Rule 5 (a.k.a. 5 corners rule): It is important to pay attention especially in the first part of the race, where all cars are close to each other. For this reason, we define per each track the “red zone”, where the 5 corners rule applies. 5 corners is just a convention. For each track the red zone might be extended till a safer zone.
The responsibility of all drivers is to avoid incidents in the first corners which can have massive consequences and therefore all participants must be careful.
Starts must be as clean and incident-free as possible. The finish line is not at the first turn. Turn 1 cannot be approached as it happens during the qualification session. The tires are cold, the car is heavy and the track crowded. Drivers must act wisely and drive safely for themselves and for the other participants, for example by:
    o braking earlier than normal
o maintaining a safe distance from the other cars during the first corners
o giving enough space to other drivers with some margin for error by other participants

Any collision from behind will result in the driver behind being considered as the guilty driver, unless the car in front has lost control.
In case of accident on the “red zone” the Race Director could penalize the drivers directly.

    Entry List and Groups requirements

Here are the groups for Race1 and Race2 based on the current Rank positions, and allocations.

You can check the Entry List on our main page also (on the bottom left of www.radiators-champ.com there is a link "Entry List").

To be part of the race, there are 3 requirements:
    - all drivers to have at least one ranked time on Montreal F1800 before the 31st of August.
    - all drivers should be allocated in gpcos for this race.
    - drivers that have a different name on the rank and on gpcos should communicate here asap. Name are listed in the tab NameConversion

For this championship it will be really important to place your allocation in GPCOS. Groups will be always based on the allocation. Please update it in case you want to participate to the race. If you can't race anymore, please update it again.

This will speed things up a lot during our briefing.

Please note that this Entry List page is not automatically refreshed based on rank/allocation, and will be updated from time to time.
Position on the rank to organize groups will be taken on the 31st August.

Few drivers are not allocated yet. Please make sure you place your allocation in case you want to participate to the race.

    NOT ALLOCATED DRIVERS:
    Albert McSaltens
    Attilio Barba
    Gary Munson
    Lars Scheving
    laurent resende
    Luca Lazzarato
    M Carey
    Maarten Steverink
    Rene Lorig
    Riccardo Pini

Those drivers don't have any laptime in the rank:

    NOT RANKED DRIVERS:
    Alessio Cravotto
    Andrey Minenko
    Dmitry Gavrilenko
    laurent resende
    Luca Lazzarato
    Matt Dawson
    Pablo Dalía
    Rene Lorig
    Riccardo Pini
    Roel de jong
    Stephane Migrouille
    Vladimir Shestakov

e in piu' ti sei allocato come "Driver participation uncertain".

Entry list updated with the latest allocation/final rank results.

From now on no more updates will be done on the rank positions.
Just before the briefing the last check will be done on the allocations to create the final groups, based to the last minute allocation.
So groups will be final only after the briefing.
Please update your allocation in case your availability changes.

There are still few drivers without an allocation:

    driver-allocation-rank position
    Attilio Barba NOT ALLOCATED 67
    Gary Munson NOT ALLOCATED 55
laurent resende NOT ALLOCATED NOT RANKED
Luca Lazzarato NOT ALLOCATED NOT RANKED
    Maarten Steverink NOT ALLOCATED 21
Rene Lorig NOT ALLOCATED NOT RANKED
Riccardo Pini NOT ALLOCATED NOT RANKED
Vladimir Shestakov Driver participation uncertain NOT RANKED

Since there are still few more places available, if you want to participate, just change your allocation.

una domanda forse stupida, come mai quando fai lassegnazione alla gara ti dice 15 giri poi in realtà corriamo su due gare una di 8 e una di 12 giri?
    mi potete delucidare la questione?
