Re: Monza RSR
woah, this looks amazing
almost twice as good as the current monza. it looks more realistic and quite a bit wider? this is what monza should have been
great work

Re: Monza RSR
Works at Monza started again, and are almost finished also. As already said somewhere else here in our forum, Albert found a much better version for this wondeful track and started a new conversion.
We dropped the original work started by Jaap and improved by our team, and focused on this new, nicer version.
Thanks to Gek, the track that was suffering of huge FPS drops has been optimized, and is now running as it should once more.
We used this track as our sandbox, to experiment on a new mapping for the grass that will give a better result (although we found out yesterday that has still a little drawback...).
This track has been improved adding some more details, to make it more similar to the 2010 version.
We asked Culmone to improve the textures, and he is currently working on it.

@Albert: Very good work! Looks really amazing!
A little question => When do you intend to release your fabulous conversion of Mid-Ohio???
Cheers,
Oli

Re: Monza RSR
We are still deciding whether to do a make an internal release without Culmone's textures, or to complete some more work and release the final version.
We will make a decision today, I guess, depending on the impact of some changes. From what I've seen there are not so many changes to do.
In any case, we are quite close to the release. For sure our aim it to have everyone ready for the race. Let's see if it's feasible to have the final in few days. In that case it's worth to wait.
