Radiator Springs Racing Research and Development team is really proud to present the new, upgraded version of the RSR Live Timing.
The aim of the RSR Live Timing App is to bring a fair, clean, live hotlap competition to Assetto Corsa.
It was not a simple update of the old one, but a complete newly written app, management system and website.
Our new website is collecting statistics on what you do on track, and gives a lot of details of your laps.
This website will be the base for further developments in the upcoming period. Our focus will be not only on having a rank website, but also to host multiplayer online races and championships.
We have already a list of new features we want to include, but suggestions and criticism are welcomed.
The app/website is fully integrated with Assetto Corsa GUI and Steam. So all you need to do is make sure that your personal details are filled in, and go on track.
On the website, logging in with your steam account, you will get an interface personalized for you.
You can find a detailed guide here to show you more details about the application/website.
I take the opportunity to say thank you to everyone involved in the development:
Fulvio "Gek" Genova and Luca Mosca for the initial idea and implementation of the RSR live timing for the TP, and again Fulvio and Andrea Lojelo for the new implementation of the app/management system, Gergo Racz for the website, Giancarlo Graziano for the graphics.
Thanks to Aristotelis Vasilakos and Dom Duhan for their advices, and to the RSR Team and the testing team for their help.
Few notes and know issues:
- APP: Make sure you fill in Name & Surname in your AC GUI. Setting the nickname only will not work at the moment, due to a bug in AC API.
- APP: if you go off track on the tarmac, the app interface will show you green, but underneath, where more strict validation is performed, the lap will be correctly discarded
- WEBSITE Steam Login: in some cases Steam might not recognize your account. In this case try with to put the initial capital letter on your steam account(i.e. if your account is yourSteamAccount, insert YourSteamAccount)

Alcune note e problemi conosciuti:
- APP: Accertatevi di aver compilato Nome e Cognome nella intefaccia grafica di AC GUI. Inserendo solo il nickname non funziona al momento, a cause di un bug nelle API di AC.
- APP: Se andate fuori dai limiti del tracciato, ma siete ancora su una zona asfaltata, l'app continua a mostrare la luce verde(giro valido), anche se l'applicazione di controllo, dove sono applicate delle regole piu' restrittive, annullera' correttamente il giro.
- WEBSITE Steam Login: in alcuni casi, Steam non riconosce il vostro account.t. In questo caso, prova ad inserire la prima lettera dle vostro account steam in maiuscolo(ad esempio se il tuo account e' tuoSteamAccount, inserisci TuoSteamAccount)

we are looking into the problem.
guys, in case something doesn't work we need logs, as described in the guide:
In case of errors, our application will create a log file {Steam_AC_ home}\apps\python\RsrLiveTime\{YYYYMMMDD}.log .
Please check also C:\Users\{your user}\Documents\Assetto Corsa\logs\py_log.txt

Vedo gli altri ma non me stesso, infatti non credo mi abbia registrato i tempi...
Se ci connettiamo con Steam ed il nostro account è un nickname poi cosa succede ?! Troviamo il nick invece di nome e cognome ??!! Il mio profilo AC è Max(playmax69)Caputi, dove il nick è l'account Steam.
L'unica possibilità quindi è inserire Playmax69 per completare il percorso su Steam , ma poi mi dice come agli altri che non sono nel vostro database
Secondo me era meglio poter inserire da qualche parte il Nostro Nome e Cognome (o Nick) nel gioco, come prima.
NB: Inoltre come per l'app della concorrenza se si attivano aiuti in pista (TC) poi non li segnala negli aiuti, come è stato segnalato sul forum drivingitalia.

hey guys, great work, I need to get back to practicing , over a year since I did any racing.
Was hot lapping earlier and had no problems my time were being recorded.
But now sometimes when I load a track, eg. Imola with the BMW M3 GT2, the game freezes just when I see the car and I have the AC logo in the middle of the screen, after a few seconds I can ESC back to the UI. This is not happening with all the car/tracks.
And now when I can load a track eg Imola + F Abarth in hotlapping mode the RSR live timing app tells me that I'm in Practice mode and to change to Hotlapping, which I have reloaded several time.
