In quanti siamo? how many are we?

Post by f.gek on Wed Oct 12, 2011 9:17 am

The servers are almost always empty. Do you have any ideas on to improve the situation? We are trying to count how many drivers are potentially around to try to organize things in a better way.So please write down your name in this post. Thanks for your cooperation.
    Suggestions are welcome

    2 and couting...

Quite depressing to see empty servers although the racing experience with the new version is amazing. Something wrong here, but still I can't figure out what the root problem is. I'm really curious to see what you guys think about it.

    1+1 mate....
mmmmmmm...yes no idea why.... I was hopping that this big fixing release was bring lot of new drivers....

I write in italian more simple to catch the point....

    Another one, when business allows..

I'm also wondering why this situation. Before i thought it was due to the poor multiplayer, but now?
Probably a lot of users that tested netkar in the past and were disappointed didn't gave a new opportunity or, more simply, don't thrust that such a "revolution" in multiplayer compartment could be done.
Another point is that driving netkar is very rewarding and "realistc" (between commas only because, at the end, we are on an office chair! Very Happy ).
But the first approach for normal users like me (i.e. not aliens) is a little bit frustrating. But when you manage to practice the car and the track, even if not the faster, you really feel something more and very similar to drive a race car (with all the limitations of being only in front of a PC).

i think there are a few more ppl out there these days but there will be always a few things that will stop ppl using it , primarily it isnt FREE , it hasnt got a nocd patch or hasnt been hacked unlike about everything else out there (except for iracing(which technically has been ....)
Secondly your process here for joining a race is fairly intimidating , sign into this sign into that make this make that ; no click and go option really (could it be simplified ?)
and lastly the hard one no modded car content on NKP means that ppl cant drive the car they love or dream of so they will go drive something else that has worse physics etc but it is an Aston or it is a Megane etc ...

but all of these are just my opinion but from talking with ppl it seems that that is what they feel

I've asked this same question myself. lol. Wink Anyways, the replies in that thread were that netkar doesn't advertise, no marketing. People do follow marketing and all the advertising bullshit unfortunately. There is a perfect example of a sub par sim out there that proves marketing and advertising rules. Laughing

Well I don't think it helps that the first community link on the netkar-pro website is a site which hasn't even posted about the latest patch Wink Also stuff like nKWorld still being there, just makes the community look dead. Recently I've seen people complaining about the situation with add-on tracks. To be honest I even find it confusing keeping track of updates. I think people are just finding it too much hassle, they'd rather play something that's more straight forward & they can jump straight into.

I come to the Springs every day. I don't race online because my ping from the west coast of USA to your servers is terrible. When I tried in the past at GPC my car was just a flickering ghost from the lag. I work nights and have time conflicts. And I'm low skill, old and slow.

Have you tried with 1.3? It seems a lot better now. There's a Mexican guy who races & Argentinians (before racing with someone from Argentina was impossible).
