i would delete this thread very quickly if i were you. telling people to hack games for the sake of importing cars isnt a good idea, especially considering the RSR website is directly linked to the nkpro website.

The same subject's on DrivingItalia, nothing illegal (at least by Tariq Smile), so the topic doesn't need to be deleted. http://www.drivingitalia.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=52933

Interesting read. I don't really see people putting much work into this for the simple fact that racing online in netkar is poor at best.

yeah the netcode in netkar has just gotten to me lately. Netkar has tonnes of potential and really would love to see a netkar 2.0. If netkar implemented pitstops, started to advertise, and got a license for a touring car or GT car things really could take off for Kunos. But that could just be wishful thinking on my part.

there must be something like a cd-check, but the problem is that fva has any cd, so the key check is more hard if Ferrari and Kunos said that they don't want share their database of keys.....

and probably there are many copyright problems that block people to do a legal conversion of it!! Wink

FVA in my opinion not assign its copyright, because I think their operation Ferrari Virtual ACADEMY, met with great success, and he always protects their investment, plus it's a safe bet that repeating the operation This year, they always calculate the long term, more Kunos does not own, it is a supplier of Ferrari

Well if I knew how to, I'd convert the content Smile (I only have a vague idea at the moment Very Happy) Being sued doesn't worry me (as I have no money anyway Razz). I'm also wondering about install checks though (for other games as well).

FVA's content must be encrypted because I tried to do some laps on FVA when my internet was down one time and could not. FVA was another one of those "pay to play". Rolling Eyes I must start reading fine print before sending money. Laughing

It checks your license when you load the game yeah. When you extract iRacing archives (not that I've ever attempted to do so of course), the textures & models are blank (only the sounds are useable). The fact that extracted FVA textures are fine makes me believe a conversion's possible.

If it can be done someone will figure it out. There are some talented people in the sim racing community. If it is done I doubt it will last long. No site will want to post a link because it's illegal and such. I wonder if Stefano will step in and say something about all of this.

Steve the challenge is complete, wait until next season before spending your money, and you're right, in FVA, everything has to be paid, including all the circuit in addition to your license
