Our friend of www.iraceonline.it are supporting our championship this week also with their Live Timing

At the moment only the iraceonline.it server is with live timing. I hope that soon our server also will publish data there.
Thanks once more to Stefano Schivari for his support.

    hello boys

its not often i need help / advice but im having troubles round t1 with race fuel. basically im approaching the corner at 270kmh, brake just before 50m, drop down to 3rd gear and turn in. half way through the corner the rear end slides out and i have to counter-steer in order to stop myself from spinning. it feels as though the rear of the car is too light or has no grip at all. its very bumpy through there and i have tried chaning the ride height, downforce, preload, rod and springs but had no luck

does anyone have any idea on how this is fixable?

    thanks,
    M

Ciao Mika, I partially reduce the problem increasing the coast to 25%, then I've also the rear roll bar very soft (5N/mm) in order to reduce oversteer...but you are right, T1 and T2 are very oversteering for me....the only way to have no problem there it is to enter a little bit slower (then I can't do of course 1.10.8 as you did)...I've no a very efficient solution :-(

    thanks for your help Fabio.

every different setting i have tried doesnt seem to work. i have tried almost every variation of spring / dampers / preload / rod / fast / slow bump / rebound and im still having no luck. this track is somewhere i cannot set the car up. its very frustrating because i know im capable of driving fast times, but i cant make a car which allows me to do this Sad

I have the same problem with fuel for 10 laps, after 5/6 laps on 1.12 i have problem with the rear tyres and i spin on t1 or t2... i tried many setup but i haven't resolved nothing... i think i will use a conservative setup because is impossible to me end the race in this condition...

I notice that with a conservative driving (I mean driving around 1.12.5 with 25L) rear temperature are quite good, around 90-95°C....you have to give throttle carefully, give the minimum steering angle, etc...If you start pushing a lot the rear temp goes up to 115°C easily...so, my solution is not to push too hard, I guess all the people are facing the same problems....also a solution seem to be driving fast and every 5 laps try to do a slower one in order to make the temperature lower....I'm anyway quite happy with my set-up, car is well balanced and quite fast, we will see in track. I'm using a very front brake bias in order to not stress too much the rear tires, maybe this could help also

my setup likes high fuel i do 1.13 with 40l afro and 1.14 with 90 ^^

but the question is .. the time difference does seem to suggest a pitsop could be a viable option here ^^

Mika....1.10 with 10L, then 1.13 with 25L affraid ???? There is something strange in your car set-up!!!! I think we all are more or less at the same time table with different fuel quantity...maybe you can do 1.13 in very safe driving, as I can gain 1.12.5 with a quite fast lap, so maybe you are anyway faster then me also with several liters of fuel...the important question is to don't do mistakes, as they cost at least 10 second (if you spin)...I agree with Paul about the possibility to have a pit-stop....I see a very intresting race!

i run quite a hard setup here because of the last sector requiring good responsiveness from the steering. the car feels perfect with 10l fuel, although being a bit stiff on the back. this is causing the oversteer problem in t1 and t2, but because the car is so light, you can handle it.

with race fuel however, it acts more like a pendulum. the rear swings round through t1 after going over the initial bumps. ive tried lowering the rear springs and stiffening the rod and preload to compensate but having no luck

a pitstop requires just under half a lap (about 30sec or so i guess) so its touch and go whether you can make up those 30secs during the race with low fuel compared to high fuel.

this is going to be a very interesting race indeed! i can see some "back-markers" coming forward and attacking more than we expect Wink yes, the idea is not to crash but its so damn hard not to with this shopping trolly of a car i have...

Fabio, Mika I too have this problem, perhaps a factor to be reckoned with is the bottom of the car could reach to the center curve. Unfortunately, there are parameters that indicate the correct height. Do not use the telemetry so I can not give advice. Height that you used?

Your english is good enough, do not worry....my height should be around 38mm at the front and 58mm at the rear, quite high in comparison with other track...

    i have some news guys

i have found a couple things which can help. it doesnt solve the problem, but minimises it.

lowering the springs and increasing the wings Wink it stops the car from bouncing so much and also pushes it down into the road more so there is slightly more grip Wink

damn, I had written a nice posting but it got lost, beause I was not logged in anymore Evil or Very Mad (and did not copy it before sending).
ok, then perhaps I will reveal my 'secrets' to this track another day Wink, ..not motivated to write everything down again at this moment Mad .

btw.: I'm still not an alien even on this track.., I did just a 1:14.0 so far.. Laughing. I thought on this shorter track laptimes might be closer together, but it seems this is not the case.

my races were somehow a bit of bad luck.
In general in both races there were great battles, I had less downforce as nearly every other driver, so I could close up on the straights (but also lost some battles on the brake on the other hand).
Qualy could have been some tenth better, but it was not too bad anyway.
In race 1 I overtook someone before t2 on the straight, but got a little wide to the outside on t2, as I wanted to come back to the track me and the other driver I overtook before had a wheel to wheel contact.
So left suspension was broken, drove back to pits and continued.. .

Then later I had blue flags and let the leader pass in the last section of the track, afterwards I did the same thing with the driver on second position while driving to the right side at start finish, but then suddenly another driver appeared on the right side trying to attack me (there was no room), who I did never ever recognized before ?? as I let the guy on second pos. pass.., and our cars crashed, the other guy's car unfortunately hit the car which was in front of us two also. So I guess three cars were out or damaged. My car got stuck in the sand and I could not continue the race.

In race2 I battled with someone in the first laps towards turn3. Maybe I braked too late (+ I had a little dirty tires also because of touching the sand before a bit)..., so I could not manage to turn in into turn 3 still, the result was that I crashed into the wall. So same thing as in race 1: This time my left suspension was broken, drove back to the pits and continued.. .

Schiaccio esc aspetto 5 giri e rientro all'ultimo giro, 8° solo perchè altri ragazzi avevano a loro volta avuto problemi e avevano aspettato 5 giri.
