    Magny Cours RSR

    Post by Andrea Lojelo on Fri Dec 31, 2010 11:55 am

    One more wonderful Radiator Springs Racing track unveiled: Magny Cours.

    Luca "Sky GT" Naldi is doing a very accurate work, experimenting a lot with materials and shaders.

    This is a conversion from a GTR2 track improved with wonderful Culmone's textures.

    Enjoy this first preview video created by Giancarlo. The track is still a work in progress.

    Is it out yet? I love Magny-Cours, but I can't find the download link...

    Maybe I am blind?

    As you can read in the first message, the track is sill being worked on. Wink

    I'm looking forward to see the final result with these shaders: they can literally make a circuit come alive!

    Thanks very much to Luca "SkyGT" Naldi for the great work, and to Giovanni Culmone for the authorization to use his wonderful GTR2 HD textures

    I'm afraid I already found something. You can see the glass in the pitlane through walls.

    Very good looking track guys - I really like the color gamma Smile

    So far, I've found only few issues:

    - there are two configurations - full and short, but both of them have the same track picture;

    - a bit weird low-res sky

    - some "homeless ghosts" at the track:

    Track is really good to drive, congratulations. Minor graphical glitches (already pointed above), and as usual I can't find the RSRCameraSwitcher.exe (the track package is an .exe installer that checks for GTR2 disk, but doesn't install the utility to change cameras). At Monza I was able to change by replacing the file manually, but at Magny-Cours there is only one camera file available so far. Is that correct? That said, the track is really nice. Thank you very very much!! You're a group that is really pushing nkpro.
