You must not think pedal range.. but amount of pressure. And the amount of pressure needed to reach full braking is very much harder. Better yet dont think at all, just feel and act and try.
I was even afraid of destroying the pedals with my foot pressing so hard in the beginning. But that is just your brain being used to plastic
