    http://www.drivingitalia.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=50291&view=findpost&p=604975

Wink

After the right disquisitions about rules and drive styling, any comment about the race?
This healthy abit seems vanishing in this community... scratch

This is mine: Race 1 based on regularity pace, to compensate weak practices
cause family and work commitments:12th on quali, 5th under checkered flag rabbit

Race 2: after a more convinced quali (9th) , into first lap i was touched in the bottom Embarassed
by Franky La Raspa, and it wasn't pleasent: i haven't particulary sexual attraction for Francesco... flower

Six laps into pit lane thinking about butterflies and flowers , then on track again
just in time for finish 13th. That's life... Smile

    I love this champ, guys

Race 1: in qual, I exit to box e my car crashed into the wall without reason. Sad Not a nice start...
I make only few laps but I take the front row.
Naldi has a better start (launch control? Laughing ) and pass me. I stay in 3rd position and I try to catch him, but in the six lap I make a mistake with the 2nd gear in the last corner and I crash into the wall. Evil or Very Mad

Race 2: I'm not happy about race 1, and I feel demoralized. Only 3rd in grid, with a bad time. In the race, i try to be conservative and finish the race. In front of me, Stevirink and Naldi was fighting for first position...so maybe I can take advantage. And it happened. lol!
Naldi suffered a spin, and maarten retired (with 10 sec of gap). So, i try to be conservative and finish the race without issues. And i do it!
My fisrt win ever. Very Happy
I'm sorry for Maarten...but this is the racing.
Group B was very competitive yesterday. Grats to Luca Naldi, Maarten, laterza e Gajira. Very fast guys!

I had alot of fun at Adelaide!

My first race was alright, i was more consistent than i have ever been with the 1800, and i won the race with a nice gap.

Race 2 i was on pole, but my start was bad, and mr. Naldi passed me before T1. I had to stay on his tail for alot of laps, just hoping that he would make a mistake, which is very easy at this track. Fortunatly for me, he did make a mistake, and i was in the lead. But after a few laps i discovered just HOW easy it is to make mistakes here, and i crashed that damn thing, with a 10 second gap!! Very stupid, i lost my concentration.

When i pressed the "back to box" button, my pc thought it was enough, and it CTD'ed. Let's hope i can improve for the rest of the season!

I really love this championship! Thanks to everyone for racing fair and hard!

    Maarten

p.s. Congratulations to Alessio for the win in race 2! Only 18 points behind me in the championship! :-D

It was a good evening for me too: two podiums in this realy competitve group B Very Happy

I started both race at 5th position, with in mind only one thing: stay away from walls during races Laughing

In race 1, i take advantage of Mauro's and Alessio's mistakes to finih 3rd
In race 2, i felt very slow, but i was lucky again with others drivers adversity
While i'm in 2nd place, i try to catch a very conservative Alessio, but he managed well his advance.
I've to manage too Fabrizio just behind me, who was very faster than me.But he was very patient and carefull ( thanks ^^) so i finished 2nd Very Happy

We have 2 very good race on thursday, with very clean starts and fair-play race, thanks and grats to all drivers and the organisation for this championship

Qualifying 1, was on my fastest lap at the end (being up at the split), but everyone else was slowing down. Someone had virtually stopped just off track at the exit of the chicane, and then in the 2nd from last corner I came across another car going slow:

In the race I got caught up in the incident between Albert & Andrea, where my car tried to mate with Andrea’s:

Race 2 went better, I was running in third until a half spin where Franky got through. After the race I realised my wheel was set at the wrong ratio (after having played Richard Burns Rally). A good event but could have been better.
