25 October 2012: Newbury

Fifth race of the Radiator Springs 500 Abarth Series: Newbury.

Here is the schedule:
Prequalification with live timing for all the week preceding the event
drivers from 1 to 15 in group A
drivers from 16 to 30 in group B

Thursday 25 October 2012
21:00 (CET, UTC+1) Briefing in our Chat
Qualification: 20 minutes. No restriction on the amount of laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 1: 15 laps
Warmup: 5 min (waiting time before the race session)
Race 2: 29 laps

For the racing day, server will be with password. You will find the password in the control center.

On this track you can use green extensions. Here is an example of a perfectly valid lap done by Luca Naldi some time ago. Note: he did this lap with a completely different nkpro build, the trofeo Abarth MTV. Lap times looks pretty much the same though.

a chi lo dici.. durante quel trofeo ho appeso il chiodo... il casco ha cominciato a salire e scendere dal chiodo.. pian piano i tempi son saliti e mai più scesi..

Danilo spotted a mistake in our announcement where we wrongly said that the race was on the 1st of november. the race is actually this thursday, 25th October. Sorry for the mistake.

Here is the entry list for the event.
Group A: positions from 1 to 15
Group B: positions from 16 to 30

Remember that you need to be allocated to be part of the event, and you need to do some lap on our server. You check who is online and other drivers lap times on the Live Timing.

Please help us out placing your allocation for the race in time, so that we can organize the race properly, setting up the servers in advance and we will not lose time during the briefing.

If your name doesn't appear in the entry list, although you've done a lap and you are allocated, please contact me, not later than Thursday at 19:00.

Please also update your allocation to "Driver will not participate" if you are not able to race, otherwise you will leave empty places in your group.

After some laps I did a clean lap with some small mistakes, but no matter I want to help some drivers so here's the replay of the lap.

T3 I left tarmac and lost at least 0.05s, fast left and right I didnt use all the track and on the last corner I missed the right point to steer in, it's possible to take the turn with ~70% gas.

Very good lap, Vincent. Thanks for the video. Now I just have to find some time to practice (not easy for me lately).
