Creating a LAN Server
Does anybody know how to create a LAN server? I've been having problems connecting to online NKP servers and need to test my router to see if it can connect to a local hosted server.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Creating a LAN Server
I guess you can try to do something like this:
1) configure your server with nkservertoool
2) try to connect through the usual nk interface (server list).
Since you've problems you will not able to join, but at least you will have all the configuration to connect to that server in your ini files.
3) modify you {nk folder}\cfg\server.ini setting your local IP of the server (most likely something like 192.168.xxx.xxx)
4) double click on nks.exe
Good luck

Re: Creating a LAN Server
to run nk in LAN, you can use nkServerTool.
Just run the server using the interface.
All players will connect to the server using nkServer tool too, providing the local IP of the server in the Server IPs tab, and making sure that the right car/track/config is selected in the Main Config tab.
Here a small example:

Re: Creating a LAN Server
nice tutorial! kinda silly of you though airbrushing the ip, it's a local network, who'd care to know your ip within your router
