Last performance posting here (otherwise it gets too much off-topic ):
Desptie my above mentioned plans to not change my CPU I now replaced my 'old' (unlocked) Athlon II X3, 2,9 GHZ (Phenom II X4 when unlocked) CPU with that in my posting above already mentioned 'real' Phenom II X4 955 BE Stepping C3, 3,2 GHZ. ..I'm very happy I tried that out [thx to X.Clock for the general advice], because now with that 'new' CPU even the FPS-performance of the 560ti now (grately) increased. At Mugello for an example the FPS increased at the several more demanding places here and there on that track from 100 FPS (before I replaced the CPU) to 150 FPS (with the now placed in Phenom II X4 955), maximum FPS is 300+ on this track (always tested with v-mirror on, Full HD, 4xAA).
In 3D Mark 06 (old I know I have an average advantage of around 5 up to 25 FPS at the several graphic tests (average increase depends on the test), End-Result increased from 16279 (before, two weeks ago) to now 18051 points.
[The only, if you want to call it so, "disadavtage" is that this newer CPU runs now at 40°C instead of just 31°C like the old one did -at idle-.]

In addition to the CPU I also replaced my G.Skill Ram with OCZ Ram, which also seem to work quicker for some reason than my former tried Corsair and G.Skill Ram 'types', though I run it at the same MHZ and Timings it is quicker (maybe thats just due to the new CPU also).

So the season can begin , -there should be less performance problems on tracks like Zandvoort, Mugello, Imola,.. for me now (with full grid) I hope.

My old CPU always froze when it was at unlocked (X4 + L3 cache) condition as long I tried to increase the MHZ (overclock), it was able to overclock very
much in its org. condition (X3), but once it was in unlocked condition any overclocking suddenly was not possible anymore -no matter what voltage I tried-,
so that was why I finally got enough from that CPU.. and now glady tried out / and replaced it with the other one (X4 955 BE).

Assetto Corsa
Great things happen when people support indie software houses by purchasing original products. As you might know, from 1st December 2011, all the earnings of Kunos Simulazioni from netKar Pro and Ferrari Virtual Academy are exclusively used to fund the licensing costs for Assetto Corsa.

Official Licensing requires a huge effort in terms of money, time and resources.
