ALL selection screens available on the first post have been updated and improved. Make sure you have the latest version for best quality. Also fresh out of the oven: red versions! All of them brandnew. Enjoy!

    Great job!

I voted for blue even if from an aesthetic point of view I would prefer red, but I agree with the idea to reserve RED for original Tracks and BLUE for add-on track.

Just a (dweeby) idea, what about red for older .nko tracks, & blue for newer .kto ones?

This is not the nKPRO Version of the Hockenheimring you used for the aerial picture, is it? It looks so different.

Thanks for these Inigo, they look great. I voted for blue to separate add-on tracks from original tracks, but either colour would be greatly appreciated.

no, you're right - it's not from netkar pro. but it's the only nice ingame shot of the hockenheimring I found. if someone can provide a nice ingame shot of it from nkp I'd gladly update it with it.

I also prefer the blue ones for that reason (differenciate between originals and customs). Also with the red ones there is another problem: although I can try to immitate them well they aren't exactly like the originals and there remains an "odd" look to them (in my humble opinion). It might be related to the effect of the uncanny valley where the brain refuses something similar because it recognizes the subtle differences to the original. That's why, personally, I'd go with blue. It didn't take too much effort to convert them to red so I made them also available in red. If I find the time I'll make them all available in both colors so you can pick your style, but blue comes first.

I didn't even know there was such a separation. I just bought the game a week ago and began downloading custom tracks, stumbled over this site along the way and got started on the screens after I noticed they didn't have propper ones. For me it doesn't make a difference if they're *.nko or *.kto so I just go with the idea "blue=custom" and "red=original", everything beyond that just makes it unnecessary complicated in my opinion. Most likely I'll be able to provide both color versions of each track in the list, so you can pick the colors for whatever reasons you choose. Wink

Ain't that exactly what I'm doing? I released blue ones and red ones. As soon as they are all done I'll pack them up like that.
For those who can't wait until then I release each of them as soon as they're finished.

If someone can provide nice overview screenshots of the tracks in M Carey's list on the first page of this thread, that would be very helpful!

Recently I noticed the replay function might be helpful for that. But maybe the editor is even better for aerial shots. I don't know, I have no idea how to run the editor.

Blame Kunos Razz Ver. 1.1 - 1.3b used the same UI images, then he changed it for 1.3. Only difference's .kto's the unencrypted format add-on tracks (since v1.1) use. The .nko format is encrypted so only original & earlier add-on tracks (made with an unreleased beta editor) use it. There's a point to this... Smile

For the .kto tracks we can, but not .nko (as the track editor won't load them). You can sometimes get pretty high up in doom mode though, so I'll have a go later. Here are the key commands for KOF; http://forum.radiators-champ.com/t386-koflite-key-commands (it's a lot quicker to navigate around than in game so would be best for grabbing screenies).

Here they're. Took them in game as in the track editor you have the crosshairs. You have to use objects to gain height (in doom/replay mode) so they're a little low, & with some of them you can see gaps in the model.
