I think most of the fastest race laps are fake
, because of the 'bug' on the track. After my pitstop I had a fight with Grippa on the outlap + a mistake (off the track) in the slow left uphill, so my outlap was slow (2.04).

Open Wheel Series Skin Pack - Thu May 17, 2012 10:36 pm
I 're-newed' / reuploaded all my car skins in one package in my prev. posting, just too keep them available, if someone does not have them so far.
After some days files get lost on most of that free upload servers, so I uploaded ' again.

replay group A:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/21716451/RSR_Formula2000_Sepang_group_A.zip
My race was not too bad, but I could have been a little bit more constant and quick (in some laps).
I knew I would be a bit slow in qualy, but I also knew that I can repeat 2:03 laps even in race quite all over (in theory), so I thought I would be in nice condidtion in the race at least.
Everyone was really quick again, I considered some might get slow after some laps at more tire usage, since I found my car balanced well for the tires,
but it did not happened that much all over the race, everyone stayed quick.
I was always a little bit slower on (some) straights, so I could not defend position in some cases just because of less speed on straights [using 12(front)/12(rear) wings].
Generally my race mostly was boring (cars were driving one after another), at the start after half a lap I lost some positions, guys (all) pushed hard and after Cive overtook me at the end of a straight I lost two pos. more after that (GG and someone else could pass also).. .
One time ca. 7 laps before finish Luca and Gek had contact in the slow uphill corner and both slided / and stayed on the track, I could still react and drive on the gras to not collide with someone there. I was then in front of Luca, but I did a small mistake (lose of speed) in the quick S corner and he could pass me on the inner side to be in front of me again. This two things has been almost the only action in my race, beside a little battle with (a btw. really quick) GG at the first laps.

Fabio Grippa wrote:Marco, why do you have to use that so much high caster? It led just to the steering reaction, the car will not behave in different way by chancing that parameter...
Don't know, especially with this car I am quickest with using all of the catser (more stable on the lines through corners), I tried 8 and 12 and even with that just 3 klicks less my laptimes were slower, but I'll try it again. Which value do you use ?

btw. as I said "full caster" in my prev. posting:
I noticed that with high caster (at 15) the ff-bar is almost always at the maximum with this car (it is the highest caster of all cars so that's why it happens even 'more' here at the F2000), so you lose some of the detailed ff information on your wheel on high caster, though ff-gain is already set to minimum (0.500).. . I think that is not done correctly with that car in NKPro for this car, ..there should be less ff-gain available for this particular car to get all the ff detail also at a high caster setting.
Not a big issue (bug) -you still have some ff in the middle pos. of the wheel-, but worth to mention anyway, because in corners at just some more steering the bar is always on top even at lowest 0.500 ff-gain.

I've no problem at my car-balance. Maybe, as already said, use full coast (and caster) for example and keep the aero-balance at an appropiate value (x.x(front)
), when using equal HZ values for front and rear. Sometiomes the rear slides too much on braking at the turn before the second (last) straight -I solved that by balancing the car with better packer values (more packer to the front)-, but in general I find this car to be the most stable of all winged cars in NKPro. But of course I already did an almost 'perfect' setup, I even improved my suspension setting this season a bit compared to the season(s) before at all cars.
Unfortunately I still have the problem of losing grip after one or two hotlaps, because of tire-overheating I guess, mainly at this area some drivers still seem to be better.
MikaRaymond wrote:is this a similar problem we had with hungaroring too? because that track had the same problem and pitting put you a lap down for some reason
No, not such problem there (I guess), but it's the same issue we had at some time back at a version of the Spa 2010 track, I think it was corrected then in a further update of the Spa track.
Just make sure your hotlap starts at the regular start/finish-line after a completed outlap and not somewhere else already at the outlap (at pit exit) when coming out of the box.

replay of group B:
group B replay link
The event in group B went out quite ok (at least for me and biggio + some of the others). I could drive my so far pb in the qualy, so that was ok.
Race 1 was fine, I had no chance to catch up to Biggio, he was quicker, so I ended up 10s+ behind him on P2. Someone behind me hit me a bit at the rear before turn 2 in first lap, but that was the only misery of that race.
In Race 2 I did try some pushing (not necessarily, because Biggio was quicker again) in one of the first laps, got slightly on the gras at t1 and slided in t2 because of dirt on the tires, that was a chance for Franky, who was a bit behind me, to gain my position and he did.. .
Then at the last laps I recognized, as I watched at my fuel for the first time, that I was carrying way too much fuel in the car, I realised that I filled 20 l into it instead of 12 l at that race, so I had 'crazy' 10 l left at finish of race 2
. That mistake prevented me from pushing and driving quicker laps, with less fuel I would probably had been able to close the gap completely to Franky at P2, but this way -with around 10 litres more fuel- I was just a very little bit faster than he on clean laps.
Both races together needed 20 l (8 l at r1 and 12 l at r2) I saved in my mind before the event, so that was how that value of 20 l arised in my brain before r2
(kind of forgetting to subtract the 8l from r1) -' was a bit of a stupid mistake-.

Well, I don't know how you guys squeeze out such impressive laptimes here at both sectors, ..seems not to be my kind of track.
I'm going with 30-60 km/h understeering (and oversteering at exit) and sliding through corners and it sometimes feels like as if I would be quicker by foot as with the car
.

Uploaded them again and edited my last posting with the links. Seems with no dl-use the uploaded content gets deleted after just a few days from their servers.

Well it is a nice variation to have such a different track in the calendar, we need just to have to get used to it, but I still doubt
that there is enogh room for two cars side by side, because with just your own car on track the track-width is almost filled already beside maybe the straights
.

I have done 2 different installation in two different directories C:\netkar (original) e C:\ProgramFiles\netkar (rsr update) ;-) But Replay is the same folder for both the installations.
Ok that's better, the my documents/nkpro folder is unfortunately always shared (don't know if this is 'healthy').
I've just two installations on two OS'es', one on WinXP and the other on Win7, so each installation has its own/separate folders under my documents.
Btw.: It looks like you missed out to use my car skin in the vid. (nice music btw.
in v1.0 of the skin-pack, maybe there will be an updated skin-pack soon.

I think every car except a Kart and the Abarth is too wide for this tight track for races
, not much overtaking possibilities on such a tight
track with normal cars, could lead easily to a few collisions here if not driving very conservative.

Hmm no idea why this happenes, no errors on my PC, did you intall the latest update version "Hikki 1.30.1727" of NkPro published on this site, maybe you missed that ?
I downloaded also the replay to check, if there is an error in the uploaded file, but it works fine also.
