    Season 2010.04 KS2 Series Rsrks2series1024

    English
Our F1800 Series is just finished, and we are already planning a new season.
The car chosen is, obviously, the wonderful Formula KS2, that is about to be released.

So time for us to start planning the new season. Our 4th season this year.

We are internally discussing which tracks will fit best this monster, and we will let you know something about it shortly.

Just after the official release we will do some preparation races, so everyone will be able to get familiar with the new car. After that our championship will officially begin.

The only few requirements for us is that teams can be of 2 drivers maximum and driver usernames needs to be Name Surname on both website and forum. As usual if you don't want to create your own team you can use the default team "Radiators-champ". This team doesn't have any limit on the number of drivers, therefore will not participate for the team championship title.

We will let you know shortly more details about our upcoming season.

Please start submitting your team request for the KS2 Series ("Maintain team requests for leagues" in the control center), and ask your drivers to send ther request to your team in the KS2 series ("start driving" in the control center).
Team Managers and your drivers will receive email notifications once the request is approved.
The procedure is completed once you will see your driver in the Team & Driver list.

Here you will find some more informations about the registation process

I hope to see you soon on track with us.

After several hours testing the new car in all the tracks, we finally decided the tracks to put in our calendar.
The biggest problem for us was that at the end we had a very huge list of tracks that are wonderful to drive in this car.
We had to cut here and there, and then finally we agreed on the following:

    25/11 Melbourne
    02/12 Barcelona 2010
    09/12 Mugello
    06/01 Monza2.0
    13/01 Spa Francorchamps
    20/01 A1 Ring
    27/01 Brno
    03/02 Adelaide1989
    10/02 Suzuka

We decided to have some time before the start of the championship, to get familiar with the car and to have no championship races around Xmas period. We will organize something else in that period also, but not for the championship.

We will have 2 races per event. No pit stop will be required.
At the beginning of the championship we will arrange pilots in groups. We will have as many groups as needed, according on the number of participants.
In the first two events (Melbourne and Adelaide) all groups will score points using RSRpoints_A Points Distribution. This will allow to have groups with drivers with similar strength.
From the 3rd event on, groups will be based on the total amount of points scored (the current classification), and pilot will be in different groups according on their position.
Groups will change after every event, based on the classification.
Our Points Distributions, allow strong drivers slipped off in a lower group to go up easily getting in the first positions. This will allow to have quite dynamic groups and a very challenging championship.
There will be no prequalifications sessions. This will force drivers to think about their championship points every race. This prooved to be a very efficient method to have cleaner races and more careful drivers.

    1-15 Group A: RSRPoints_A
    16-30 Group B: RSRPoints_B
    31-45 Group C: RSRPoints_C
Groups will be based on the allocated drivers per each event. For this reason is important to be allocated for each event, and to keep it updated.

    Season 2010.04 KS2 Series Ks2champshedule

    Italiano

    25/11 Melbourne
    02/12 Barcelona 2010
    09/12 Mugello
    06/01 Monza2.0
    13/01 Spa Francorchamps
    20/01 A1 Ring
    27/01 Brno
    03/02 Adelaide1989
    10/02 Suzuka

All'inizio del campionato, divideremo i piloti in gruppi.

    1-15 Group A: RSRPoints_A
    16-30 Group B: RSRPoints_B
    31-45 Group C: RSRPoints_C

What a Face

personally to have participated in it for the first time this year, I found the system of préqualyfs for the training of the different groups, the championship GPC very well, a waiter devoted before running in this préqualyfs 5 or 6 days has horse on a week end to allow to all pilots to participate in it.
Now it is sure that longer shopping would be distinctly more interesting, with change of tyres and provision according to the reservoir of essence of news take in the car KS2
    this is a personal opinion

I enjoyed the F1800 series a lot more than GPC because it rewarded consistency as well as speed. The only week point I think’s that there was too much emphasise on the first race (in terms of grouping), and it penalised new drivers, and those who missed races but I know you wanted to implement a solution for those final two problems.

What about if there were 10 guaranteed group A places for those in the championship top 10, then the next five places available to the quickest pre-qualifiers (if of course that could be implemented). Group B, C would be decided by championship order (so P11 downwards in the champ’), and we’d all pre-qualify for the first race. Just an idea. As for the race format I don’t really want pit stops, but it would be cool if we could try & follow the GP2 format for race distances etc.

We can use two kins of race format in a single champs, too.
For example 6 races in total.
3 races with 2 manches: manche 1 start with qualification, manche 2 will full grid reversed.
3 races with 1 mancher (long as manche1+manche2 of other format) with qualification.

I agree with Andrea about prequalification system, i don't like it but if there's for me is not a problem.

Don't remember the track choise, for this car is very important choose "uman" track that permit some mistake.

So NOT Newbury, NOT Monaco, NOT Canada and similar with walls ! Very Happy

it is thrilling and exciting, and everyone can have his change!
I think that at least one difficult and demanding track needs to be in the calendar.
